Where are you located?

I am located in the west end of Ottawa in Kanata, I do however travel and would be happy to check out a new spot with you. I also have some great locations scouted out for all different times of the year. 

Do you have a studio?

I primarily shoot outdoors in natural light but I do have access to a studio downtown Ottawa. Must be 40 minute session. 
I also offer in home lifestyle session all year long. It's such a great way for the family to be comfortable in their own space and feature your everyday life in photos form. 

Price?

My prices are all listed under investment, but for family photos it ranges from $100-$200.

Deposit?

I do require a small the full amount when booking, If for some reason you cannot make it I will transfer the balance to a new date and time. If you fail to show or contact me there will be no refund or change of time. 

Payment?

I accept E-Transfer, Paypal & Cash as forms of payment. All payment must be paid before we begin shooting.

 

Mini session info?

 Mini session marathon days happen once a month at a set location with back to back clients. I offer a discounted price for that day only. Its $100 for a 20 minute session with 10 edited images, these session fill up very quickly each month so make sure to book quick! Some months I do offer two dates if there is a lot of interest in a second date.
 Regular priced Mini sessions are $140 for a 20 minute session with 10 edited images, Only difference is its flexible with location. I have a separate page here on my site for info on the themes for minis 6 months in advance. 

Rescheduling / Rain dates?

Because I work mainly outdoors rain dates do happen unfortunately, If the shoot is Saturday likely it will be pushed to the next day. If that doesn't work for you I will offer a few other dates to choose from. 
I understand life happens so if something important stops you from making it I will hold your deposit for another time.
Please give me 24/hours notice if possible.

Do I pick the photos?

I usually cull the photos and send the best 10 or 20 depending on package. If there is a photo you didn't get and are interested in let me know though. We don’t offer online proofs in the classical sense. All the images in the final gallery will be edited and available to you. Going through a high number of images can be actually quite challenging and we consider it a part of our job to make sure you get the best of the best photos in the final collection.

Can I have extra photos?

Yes 100% I offer to sell 10 images for $50 or the full gallery ranging from $150-300 depending how long the session was. 

How long does it take until the gallery is ready?

Smaller portrait sessions take about 1-2 weeks until it will be possible to view them online, weddings 4-5 weeks tops.

Photos on social media?

Part of my business is sharing my work with others, so I do share a few photos from each session. If you prefer to not have your photos please let me know when booking.

Do you have props?

I currently have some props for outdoor sessions, but I rarely bring a full set up unless its a mini marathon day. I will however always have a blanket for sitting. If you have a request for a prop you have seen me use let me know when booking.

Can I bring my pet?

100% yes fur family is always welcome as long as its in a outdoor park area. 

What should we wear?

 

Dress your family according to the weather. Especially the little ones. If it's cold, put them in layers, if it's hot, adjust your outfits to go with the weather. Dress your family in colors that go well together, but do not match completely. Avoid the same colored shirt on everyone paired with the same type of pant. Instead, play with materials, textures, and accessories to give your photos interest. 
One thing that I always recommend is no big logos on the clothing.
